Websites for electricians

Website design for electricians.

A website that tells customers what electrical work you do, where you’ll travel and how to reach you, then keeps working after launch. Plans start at £99 setup plus £25 a month, with hosting, backups and small changes included. I build the site myself, and I’m the person you contact when something needs changing.

What your site can show

Built around the way customers choose an electrician.

Before they ring, most customers want to know three things: do you do the job, do you cover their area, and can they trust you with their home or premises. Each part of the site answers one of those.

The work you actually do

Rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EV charger installs, fault finding, inspection and testing, commercial work: list the jobs you want more of and leave out the ones you don’t, in wording a homeowner understands.

Where you cover

Name the towns and villages you travel to, so someone in Abergele or Bangor can see straight away whether to call. If there’s an area you don’t cover, the site can say so.

Registration and insurance

Show the scheme registration, qualifications and insurance you hold, using details and logos you supply. Nothing goes on the site that you can’t back up.

Photos of finished jobs

A tidy consumer unit, outside lighting, a charger fitted on a driveway. Your own photographs show the standard of your work better than stock images.

Reviews from real customers

Quote reviews you’ve genuinely received, with the customer’s permission, and point people to where they can read more, such as your Google Business Profile.

Hours and call-outs

State your normal working hours. If you take urgent call-outs, the site can explain when and where; if you don’t, saying so saves both of you a wasted call.

Calls and enquiries

Easy to contact from a phone.

Plenty of customers will find you on a phone, sometimes standing in front of a tripped board. Your number sits near the top of the page as a tap-to-call link, with a short form for anyone who would rather describe the job.

Online booking and payments aren’t part of these plans. If you need them, ask, and they’ll be itemised in your proposal before you commit.

  • Tap-to-call phone number near the top of the page
  • Short enquiry form: name, contact details, town and the job
  • Enquiries sent straight to your email address
  • Contact form checked every month
Example layout: a tap-to-call link and a short enquiry form on a phone screen.

Two illustrative concepts

How the website could be laid out.

These two layouts are illustrative concepts, not client websites. The business names are placeholders, and the registration, photo and review areas show where your own details would go.

Illustrative concept · not a real business

One-page site for a sole trader

Everything on one page: what you do, where you go, proof you’re qualified and two ways to get in touch. Good for an electrician who mainly needs to look credible when someone has been passed their name.

Pages: Services · Areas covered · Registration · Photos · Reviews · Contact

Suits Local Starter: £99 setup + £25/month.

Five-page site for a small firm

Separate pages for domestic and commercial customers, plus a page for a service you want to grow, such as EV charger installation. Each page has its own photos and its own route to an enquiry.

Suits Managed Website: £199 setup + £49/month.

Your domain stays in your name. New website plans have a 12-month initial term, then roll monthly with 30 days’ notice. Once that term is paid, you can take an export of your website without a separate buyout fee.

Domain registration, business email, premium licences, booking services, e-commerce, photography and translation are extra where needed and itemised in your proposal before you commit. No VAT is currently charged. Vivaxo is not VAT registered. Full prices and terms.

Setup and support

From first message to ongoing care.

Tell me about your work

Send a few lines about the jobs you do and where you cover. I’ll reply myself and suggest the plan that fits.

Get a written proposal

You get the scope, costs, responsibilities and the 12-month initial term in writing. Work starts only after you accept it.

Build and review

You supply your services, coverage, registration details and photos. I build the site, and you get two consolidated rounds of changes before launch.

Launch and ongoing care

Hosting, updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and monthly form checks carry on after launch, along with your plan’s allowance for small changes. Support is during normal working hours.

Where I work: I work with businesses across the UK. Vivaxo is based in North Wales, and the work is done online, so you don’t need to meet in person.

Questions

Before you decide.

How much does a website for an electrician cost?

Local Starter is £99 setup plus £25/month (£399 over the first 12 months). Managed Website is £199 plus £49/month (£787), and Local Growth is £299 plus £89/month (£1,367). New website plans have a 12-month initial term, then roll monthly with 30 days’ notice. No VAT is currently charged. Vivaxo is not VAT registered. Domains and business email are extra.

Can my NICEIC or NAPIT registration go on the website?

Yes, if you hold it. Send me your registration details and the logo files your scheme provides, and we’ll follow any rules the scheme sets on using them. I won’t add a registration, qualification or accreditation you can’t evidence.

What if I don’t have many job photos yet?

Start with what you have. The site can launch with a few good photographs, and adding new ones you send counts as a small change within your monthly allowance. Professional photography is priced separately if you want it.

Can customers call me straight from the website?

Yes. On a phone, your number works as a tap-to-call link, and the enquiry form sends messages to your email. I check the form every month. Online booking and payments aren’t included; if you need them, they’re priced in your proposal first.

Will the website get me to the top of Google?

Nobody can honestly promise that. Every plan includes page titles and service-area information, and Managed Website adds Google Business Profile assistance. Where you appear depends on your competition, your reviews and demand in your area.

Which areas do you work in?

I work with businesses across the UK. Vivaxo is based in North Wales, and the work is done online, so you don’t need to meet in person.

Who owns the domain and the website?

Your domain is registered in your name. Once the initial term is paid, you can take an export of your website without a separate buyout fee.
